City Interactive, is an international publisher and the largest Polish developer of computer and video games for platforms including Xbox 360 and Nintendo Dual Screen. The company was created in 2002 by combining a publishing house with two computer game developer studios. The long-term strategy served to guarantee the company's expansion to international markets.
The consistency of our business model allowed for continued development of the company. Apart from the company?s headquarters in Warsaw, City Interactive has opened studios in Rzeszów, Katowice, and Poznañ, as well as offices in Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Its presence in 40 markets and on five continents distinguishes City Interactive as one of the most dynamically developing company in the industry.
In 2007 our company transformed from a Limited Liability Company (Spó³ka z o.o.) to a Joint Stock company (S.A.). November 2007 marked its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In May 2010, the Polish nationwide business, stock exchange, and economic journal, "Puls Biznesu", named City Interactive S.A. the best company of Q1 2010. In this most prestigious category, the editors evaluated the quality of financial results, distinguishing City Interactive S.A. for the rapid improvement of net profit as well as for the increase in their stock price.
In June 2010, the biggest production in the history of City Interactive - "Sniper: Ghost Warrior", hit the shelves. The game proved to be a staggering success sales-wise, selling more than 500,000 copies worldwide in the first few months alone. This success markedly stoked investors - interest in the Polish game industry. It has also put Marek Tymiñski, the president of City Interactive, on the cover of Forbes magazine.
Currently, City Interactive has nearly 150 employees. The company has been awarded the "Solidna Firma" (Solid Company) certificate three times (in 2005, 2006, and 2007) in the nationwide programme for verification and promotion of fair and reliable businesses.
